May 28.

This is a day I am just happy to be here.  I had an accident in '88, (I have written about it in my blog before, but, of course, can't find the stupid link...)  But, ya know, today I don't want to talk about it.

I have Husband who loves me.  Rudee dog, who gives me more respect and admiration than I probably deserve, and my two llamas, who remind me that the dog isn't always right.  I have my two cats, one who is like a Superball on speed, the other who tries to imitate a throw pillow at regular intervals. I have several chickens, who bite me with depressing regularity, but also are happy to see me in the mornings, and light on my shoulder when it's feed time.

I have a home that is warm, dry and comfortable.  Several gardens, flower and veggie, and enough to share.  I have friends, blog and local.  I am feeling pretty good most days, (other than when I choke on my tea, like I just did, argh...), and so far we take care of bills, love each other, and family is good.

I think, all in all, I have other things than that damnable accident to live for.

Take care of yourselves.

I know I am.

Good for you. We may not always succeed, but I think that we all need to look to the good in our lives. Let's face it, most of us who have computers and time to blog are pretty lucky.

My Aunt Dottie told me that the past is a closed door, and that no matter how you tried, you wouldn't be able to re-open it. So, open that door to the future, and look ahead with joy.

Since I just had my accident, I'm still shaky. I look at that corner wall in my hall and realize how close my head was to it and I get so scared, even though I missed it. Thanks for reminding me of all the blessings in my life. I'll blog about it too someday soon. -- inger

I to am very thankful for all I have. It is easy to take things for granted. To expect things will always be the same. Have a good weekend.
