Attention knitters: FO ALERT!

(For non-knitters, that's FINISHED OBJECT!)

These were the socks I was knitting at the Petty concert.  Can't see them at the angle Husband took them, but there are black heels.  (The album cover has black, red and white.)  Yes, there is purple on the socks.  And pink.  Orange.

So I have a little of my own crazy Mojo.

As long as it took me to knit these socks, I might have taken a clue from the pianist Benmont Tench, when the group was asked what Mojo meant to them.  All these ideas of magic, power, following a passion.  When he was asked, he said, I don't know, I thought they said MOFO when I first heard it.

(Can we say these weren't the most relaxing socks to knit, for no more than they were a plain vanilla pattern?)

But, here they are, and now I GOT MOJO!!!

(Why did I put Mojo only on one sock?  I thought it looked neat that way, I didn't want to put it on the other sock, and I have one knitter in my spinning group that becomes unhinged when socks don't match.  So, I wanted to have some fun with my Mojo...  And be only slightly evil.)

Very striking! They are also comfy, eh? I made mittens, hats and scarves in the variegated yarn, I think I missed some fun not using it for socks. It sure is relaxing isn't it, most of the time you don't even have to look at your work and can get "into" a movie (or a concert). I think the MOJO is a good touch!

Have a good night!

Wow! Those are some fancy socks. And, yes, you do have mojo.

Yes, you have Mojo. It is rather like gumption, I believe, no one can define it, for those who have it know so and those who don't can never understand it anyway.

I like your socks, and hope you have fun messing with your friend.

LOL! Knitting groups are always chock full of "characters." Good for you for broadening her horizons . . . soooooo sweet of you. ;)

LOVE the socks! I've yet to knit socks. These are wonderful! Well done.

These were strictly on the road socks, if I had knit them at the concert, I don't know what would have happened. And yes, verigated yarn of different types makes for some neat socks, gloves, etc. Not like I am into color, or design, or anything...

Louise:

Thank you. It was the duplicate stitch that was the hardest...

Yep, that sounds a bit like my Husband saying about motorcycles, if you ride, no explanation is necessary, if you don't, no explanation is possible.

And believe me, it's very fun messing with said friend. {evil grin}

Me? Evil? Heh, heh, heh... Um.

Anyway. Hey, if you can only knit scarves, you can still knit. And if you enjoy it, that is the big thing. (And if you know how, if you can knit a scarf, you can knit a hat...)

Thanks!

Isn't that the truth! And I seem to be a rather pronounced character all by myself!

If "broadening her horizons" = "driving her a bit more crazy", then yes...

And thank you. Socks are not too hard, as long as you don't over think them.
