WIP* it good. (Sorry... Heh.)

Ok, WIPs for Wednesday, for the person who asked, and I just can't find.  If you are the blogger that thought this up, please leave a comment for addlepated me?

Anywho, this is the WIPs  I have actually had OUT and looked at.  The white is a pair of Mukluks, I need to finish the toe on the one, and felt them.  Then I want to decorate them with some sort of embroidery.  If they work out well, and are comfortable, I might make a second pair.  (Now if I can just remember what I did with the leather soles...  Urk.)

The brightly colored bit is a Tabi (mitten) sock.  Blessings to YouTube, I don't seem to 'get' the Kitchener stitch, and it wouldn't matter, except that this particular sock will have the toe(s) showing, so I really don't want a nice sock with a crappy lookin' toe. (And I won't wear them in the chicken yard, so hopefully there will be little of the OTHER crap, either.)  So, I checked, and lo and behold, they have videos on how to do that stitch!  Hooray for me!

The last might be Tinked (non-knitters, that is backwards knitting, you are Tinking, taking out the stitches), it is a baby blanket, but the pattern I was making up tends to want to rib and pull in on itself, making a really scrunched up looking thing.  So, that might go on the 'start over' pile.

This next is the view I have most mornings when I get ready to walk the hill.  See all the steam?  It is steamed up because Rudee sees me and is whining, barking and puffing, getting wound up to walk.  (Husband seems to delight in winding him up, too, that's why he's out of the kennel.)  When he is in his kennel, it's even worse, because then he can play kangaroo and bounce off the side of his kennel, bark, bam, bark, bam, bark!  But, he is feeling good, (was able to chase 7, count them, seven deer this week, three in one day, one the next, and another three yesterday), and I lost almost a pound this week.  So, that WIP is going well.

This is the container garden, (I have FINALLY convinced Husband not to call it a Pot Garden... He has a lot of fun messing with my mind, yes?), and I have had a few tiny tomatoes, (Mom says grape tomatoes, I say 'grape' is giving them a whole lot of credit, is there a 'shelled pea' tomato?), some crookneck squash, and some zucchinis. There is also some peppers that are coming on, and I am hoping the spaghetti squash works out.

So, there is my Wednesday WIPs.  Now I need to get my tookus going and work on a Press Release for CERT.  Nothing like working on the fly.  (And needing to learn how to write a Press Release is beside the point, right?)

Quite a bit of WIP going on there. Yay for you for having lost a pound. I went to the doctor's today, and got told that I needed to lose weight. Uh, I know that. I just need the motivation.

I used to knit, but haven't in many years. I like your work, and am glad you were able to learn the new stitch.

Your dog must be beside himself with joy at having so many deer. The side effect of the chasing is a good one, also causing joy. A good thing all around, except for the deer.

"Pot" garden? You know you are an adult when all of your houseplants are alive and none of them can be smoked! ;)

I hope you get an abundance from your garden, and I admire you for it, I have a terrible black thumb.

I have a border collie mix. No barking, jumping, panting, whining or other such things. No... she staaaaaares at you....

O.O

... until you do something with her. Despite the staring, she's a wonderful beast. ;)

Hi there, For some reason, your post did not move up on my blogger list yesterday. I was thinking it was Tina (hers show up a day late or more) now I am thinking it is my page. NO idea what to do about it. Well, anywho, I went a looking and found your post and here I am!

Your container garden is looking great! Healthy looking, nothing like my pitiful bunch.

Man, I used to hate taking out stitches! If it was too bad (curled, split etc) it would go in a bag with the rest of the messed up pieces.

Sorry I am late... I didn't see your post!

Those are only the ones I will admit to, at the moment... :)

As far as motivation, I have some, I seem to hurt a bit less, so more lard off = less owies!

I really enjoy knitting a lot, I have found that sitting really still makes me hurt, the knitting makes me move, even if it's just to find where the yarn ball rolled to...

Rudee LOVES chasing the deer, but he is getting to the point he chases, then is, "eh, I scared it off, let's go find another one." Spoiled little poop.

The garden seems to be doing well, if I can keep it watered in our instant on heat wave, we should have some nice stuff.

I wonder if that is a border collie "thing". One of my friends has one, and I get just short of creeped out when it does that, and I don't know why it's staring. I have found out that one reason is I sat down in "his" chair, but it's happened other times, too... But if ya love 'em, it works.

I don't know, sometimes I think it's Blogger, sometimes, maybe not so much. But I guess, when it gets there, it gets there!

Thank you, but I think it's more the fact we haven't had the hot weather (until now) that most everyone else had.

I call the thing you did putting the offender in time out. Time can vary by severity, there are a couple items that I am still deciding an ultimate fate. To much work to tink, too little desire to go into hand to hand combat with my knitting...
