Short, short post, will actually put a real post up tomorrow, hope...
So, we have had a windstorm that knocked down a tree (no one hurt, no damage, pics soon), power was out for about a day and a half, finally finished with the nasty cold, except for a tickly cough, sooner that leaves, the better... Invited, and took a class at a government facility for my Public Information Officer 'stuff', and learned a lot, and met some people (the technical term: networking. My term, cool, I get to see what other people do...)
So, I am trying to catch up on laundry, dishes, houseworky stuff, and tomorrow, I will do Sheriff's Office stuff. But that's only part of the day, so I hope to get at least a few other people's blogs read!!
(Whew!)

You are a busy bee. Hope you have a great rest of the week :)
Sharon:
It wasn't too bad, we planned for it, living in a rural area, this isn't uncommon, and we have a generator to keep the fridge/freezer going, that's our only big worry... And yes, I will write today, later! Thanks! :)

Leontien:
I have your blog on my "up front list" now, (Blogger and I have a continuing battle about that...), so I will make sure I check! And no, if I don't get something done, we will have dirty clothes piled high, and crud on the floors. The joy of rain and dirt...

Backup generators are wonderful, especially when big storms can knock power out for days.
A load of laundry a day keeps Mt. Washmore away.
Thanks for stopping by! I have a blog about my chickens and gardening adventures too.
messymimi:
Yes. Husband has this thing about making sure we are not at the mercy of anything. I can't remember how big the generator is, but it can run ALL the house, it was bought from a fire department, to run the station, so it's a monster... Ah, yes. Mt. Washmore. I have climbed about halfway up. Hoping to finish the rest tonight or tomorrow morning...

Marie Anne:
I have a 'soup to nuts' blog covering pretty much any and all thoughts bouncing in my head, so I will have to check out some of the other blogs you write. And thanks for checking out mine!
