Knitting needles in spaaaaaace. (Cue dramatic music)

I keep wondering what knitting in space would be like. (Heck, I knit everywhere else...)

This is at least marginally cooler... In that uber-geek sort of way.

Ah, yes, it hasn't been that long that I was on dial up and this would have been improbable. It is a study of how water drops react to various materials. It happens that he uses knitting needles of different types, and the drops will "orbit" the needle in differing ways, from looping around like a barrel roll to an almost ballet type swirl. If you can get to a library, or have a willing friend that could get the video, it is really neat to watch. ('least I think so.)
