Looking at Eternity.

I was quietly knitting yesterday morning.  Had the radio on, listening to the news.  Just an average day.  The neighbor called.  We had a llama down.  So, after finding out where Husband was, (he was puttering about in the boat, working on some 'fix its'), we went up and checked.  I had horrid thoughts of more cougars, torn up bodies, the works. What we found, was just a llama, slumped over, like it was asleep.

It was Llama.  She looked like she had in life, her eyes were open, with that soft, questioning look.  But now, she's looking at Eternity.

This was a photo of her (MUCH earlier), when she was in her 'zen' mode.  She was at least 20 plus some, which is not young for a llama, and this season hadn't treated her too well.  I had been giving her extra feed, letting her stay in the chicken house, if she wanted, (she didn't), and occasionally giving her a banana. (She adored bananas.)  But, I guess life caught up with her, and she just didn't quite make spring.

I'll miss her.

I'm so sorry. How sad. But, how wonderful that she could go so peacefully.
