A. Attachments and attitudes...
I decided to skip April Fool's as the obvious one... I was noticing that "things" that I have become ridiculously overwhelming at times, but I don't want to get rid of them, because they MIGHT be important. Or they have some personal memory 'attached'.
Spring is a time for cleaning. I finally found my craft room was becoming an irritant, rather than a place to create, and so after Husband built me several shelves, I had several false starts cleaning, and asked Mom to help with my 'purging'... I now have a craft room that doesn't freak me out to go into.
Why was this? Mostly because, oh, I bet those newspapers would be useful for decoupage. (But... I don't DO decoupage anymore.) Oh, that bunch of boxes will hold something, sometime! (If they are just holding one another, why bother? It isn't like I never get boxes in the house...) Oh, those jars would make the cutest little project. (Yeah... Almost 30 or more dust covered, tiny jars that I forgot the project that I was even going to make with them? WHY???)
So, I feel quite a bit lighter this spring! Just adjusting my attitude, and releasing my attachments! (But I am hanging on to the blind cleaner, ha ha!)
Oh, and another A. This is Arbor Week in Oregon!

Love the attachments...I could/ should get rid of a few myself...maybe you will just inspire me to do so.
Ah, yes, that story sounds so familiar! My "womb" has started to be the "catch all" and it could use a good purge! More power to you!
I used the buddy system, don't know if that would help you or not!
Yes, when something that is supposed to make you feel invigorated makes you feel trapped, it's time to do something. It just took me a while...
Glad you didn't go with the obvious April Fool's Day, heh! Love the name of your blog --- too cute! I need to change my attitude & release my attachments this spring too --- thanks for the advice & motivation to get started. :)

There is definitely something freeing about spring cleaning. I hope your craft room is more crafty now!
Oh, I feel your pain about the crafting supplies, and appreciate the freedom you must feel having purged some! It's bins of rubber stamps here...oh but I paid good money for them, oh but I might use them again some time....aaaaaah! Just hopped over from A-Z
Ah, decluttering. The joy of realizing we have enough and can let go.
Still getting there, day by day.
Enjoy your Arbor Week!
