As much as I found Jury Duty to be a huge disruption to my life, I have enjoyed my stints in the jury box over the years. I like working with other people. I enjoy watching the proceedings ( and yes, sometimes being very critical of what I am seeing). I do get terribly frustrated by the snail's pace and the folderol that seems to be part of our system of law. Some of it seems so wasteful!
Have fun!

H.I.'s just finished jury service. Like war - tedium then frantic hell.

As disruptive as it can be, thank you for doing it. Too many try to get out of it.

Maybe you could assign each juror a letter!

:) I am an odd one, I actually wanted to see what it was like being on a jury. Guess it comes from hanging around the guys in green so much ("my" guys the deputies...)

It seems to be a fact of life, that anything, business, large families, law, where more than one or two people are involved, and sometimes even then, lag time and folderol are a rather large part. I hope to bring my knitting. Or at least a book.

Eeep! That sounds somewhat like the description of a cop's job...

:) I might actually have to ask for one day off, I do have a doctor's appointment, but otherwise, I am rather looking forward to it.

Uh. Heh. I was admonished not to talk about what was going on, soooo, even though that's a great idea, probably not...
