Why I've not been posting... (Picture heavy)

Husband has been wheeling and dealing, and we have a new (to us) boat, again.  He sold the last one, and I guess the thought of being boatless was like me not having a pair of socks to work on. (one pair, LOL!!!) So, with some vacation time that he was finally given... sort of... (snarling, nasty, mean, evil thoughts, as it was cut short... But I'm not bitter...) So, since we had several things of a non romantic nature to do on our anniversary, we took the time a bit later, to go up to some spots we enjoy, and just putt-putt along. I like to go fast, I like to go slow, where boats are concerned.  This was most definitely the slow time...

It started out like this, and we weren't sure that we'd have sun, or rain.
Sun, as it turned out...

The water level is way up (sorry East Coasters, we have had rain, and 60's in abundance),
And so the water almost hides the big waterfalls...

Normally, the water is very choppy, this day it was a perfect looking glass...

I thought this photo came out looking almost like a kaleidoscope.

Another Peek-a-Boo moment...

This was a total accident, but I thought the blur made it look like
an impressionist painting.

Follow the Leader!

This is a dock being moved by a small tug.
Still don't know where to, or from, but it was interesting.

Anyone for King of the Hill?  Watch that first step, though...

Great pictures, I'm sure you were able to have quality time together. I understand the being off work but being called back in to work as my hubby does that.

What a lovely place to go spend time together!

As for vacation being cut short, i'm tempted to hope something delightfully irritating happens to that boss. Like poison ivy in his shorts area. Note that i'm tempted, i will not actually wish it, lest it happen to me instead. But he deserves something like that.

Those remind me of Green Peter or upper Foster. I always loved going up the arms and seeing the sights. Hadn't thought of that in years. We used to do a lot of fishing on those lakes. Thanks for posting the pics and bringing back some nice memories.

Yeah, it's just annoying, he was told he'd have x time off, then "oh, well, we need..." Pbbt.

Um. Amen! Yes, I don't want to have paybacks for bad thoughts, but that would be delightful... (evil grin)

You have good eyes, that is the exact area we were about. And we hope to go fishing sometime in the future there, too!

Such a lovely area! Reminds me of the Atchafalaya Basin here in Louisiana.

One of the places I didn't get to go when I was in the south, but hope to, possibly, some day...

Oh, beautiful. It looks so calm and peaceful. Congrats on the boat, I hope you get lots of opportunities to use it!

Glad you got such a nice day for boating. I'm like you though, I don't like boating unless the water is calm and like glass. Beautiful pictures!
