B. Bucket List.

B

I have heard of Bucket Lists, and finally saw the movie, a (cough long time cough) bit after the release.  I have thought of writing a bucket list.  But, I guess, I have a short one.

I would like to go to Alaska. (Working on it.)
I would like to sell my book. (Working on book... Maybe goal should be to finish book???)
Go to a Tom Petty Concert. (Awesome!)
See London at Christmas time. (You know, I really should get around to getting a passport...)
Take Husband to Copenhagen as a present. (How I am going to do this, uh...)
Actually play a song (other than Three Blind mice) on the guitar. (Have to work on this.)
Own a jeep. (Thank you again, Husband!)
See the Smithsonian.

And you know, that's probably about it...  No great goals, that I can think of, no feats of derring do, no real screaming thrills by most.  But I guess it's mostly because I am happy now.  It isn't that if someone offered an opportunity, I might not accept, but I like the here and now that I am at.

Is that strange?

Bucket lists, oh it's so nice to dream. I hope you achieve more on your list someday.

No, not strange... really kind of marvelous.
It's a blessing to enjoy the here and now.
Bucket list... I'm inspired now, but I'm not sure
I could keep mine as modest as yours... even though
my here and now is wonderful, too.

It seems that most of your bucket list is simply travelling, which is a good thing. Expensive, but good. There are so many places I want to visit (but don't currently have the funds for), it would be a long list!

I like your travel goals, great places, I've been to two of them, but not to Alaska. I have never had a bucket list and I don't plan to make one up at this late date. I'm glad you are doing the A to Z this year.

My bucket list would have "getting on a plane...period" hahah ;) I'm terrified of flying! The first and only time I was on one I was with my mother and only six months old.

Thank you! I hope to, as well...

I had some friends talking about Bucket list, or "things do do before you die", and they had some... amazing stuff they wanted to accomplish, sky diving, swimming with sharks, etc.. I don't really feel that putting my life in peril is necessary to enjoy life. Meh. To each their own, I guess.

Yes, expense is probably one of the larger reasons I haven't done so at this point. (Caring for the animals still ranks #1, however.) Hey, it's still fun to think about, even if you don't go!

I don't know if this is even a true Bucket list. I would like to see and do, but other than the book, I will be okay if I don't "do" all of them. That being said, I would still like to! I have been to a tiny bit of Canada, some of the states, and a tiny bit of Mexico, so at least I don't feel like a total homebody... :)

I am not real great with flying, but there are other ways to get from A to B. That's just the quick way. I suppose, with enough tranquilizers, it could be even faster! (So to speak, cough, cough)

I think bucket lists are great if only to show what you're interested in. I have things on my bucket list that I never expect to do. On the reverse side, I just crossed off #3 on my list---visit the Taj Mahal.

I never thought of it that way. If that's the case, my bucket list should contain a LOT more yarn! Yes, I will have to visit your blog! That sounds absolutely cool!

WoW! I really can't figure out what to put on my list! (that is strange)

Cat said...

Yeah, took me a little to come up with what I did!

Not strange, a lovely way to live.

I have never had a bucket list, and while I am sure there are many fun things to do beyond my own little sphere, I have not ever been much of an adventurer. I wish you well on crossing your wishes off! Happy B Day, and may your bucket be full!

Great bucket list. A doable. You made a good point about being happy now. Liked what I read.

Great list-you're happy with where you are, not needing a zillion other things to give you that. I've always wanted to go to Alaska and well, (and to sell a book #oneday)

And I still haven't seen the movie.

It's refreshing to read about someone who doesn't think long and hard about keeping a bucket list. That said, you've inspired me to think about writing a bucket list for the fun of it. There. done it. Thanks. :-)

It's actually quite a good movie, sad, but with enough humor to make it a "happy cry". And so, anyway, we both need to do the book part, yes? YES!

Enjoyed your bucket list - I've never actually sat down and made one, but it's fun to daydream! And you've made me better appreciate some of the things I've actually done (like seeing London at Chirstmas time) by mentioning them on yours. :)
Happy A to Z-ing!
