Yes and no...

It is December, and I am getting into the Christmas mood.  I have a few small ornaments out, my Santa hat ready for wearing, and even one or two presents bought... Or made.  I am surprisingly not even (too) irked by all the ads on TV.  However, that might be because I haven't been watching all that much TV.  Funny that.

However, I have been getting some ads from a company that I receive email from, that I am just about ready to unsubscribe to... EVERY DAY they have been sending an email, "X days until Christmas, don't you want to come and buy stuff?"

Well, um.  When you do that, NO.  If I want an Advent calendar, I will get one.  I don't know why the idea of driving someone nuts about a date will help them remember.

Printable Advent Calendar, see?

Then I think, there are people who are astounded that election day was coming up, so probably would be shocked by the concept that Christmas was at a consistent date, too...

You mean they put Christmas in December? When did that happen!?! By the way some people don't budget and plan, you would think it must sneak up on them.

Oh, and i wouldn't shop at any store that slammed me with that much email, either.

It does seem to sneak up on me. Christmas that is. But all the ads and spam are truly annoying.

Christmas ads - avoided by taping and whizzing through the commercials. Did see one from K Mart that was as disgusting as their man's shorts commercial last year - this one they are making drum sounds on their fat bare bellies. Done with K Mart.
My thoughts: If saying "Merry Christmas" is offensive to some - shouldn't this type of thing be outlawed too? Bleck!

Well, I didn't add it, but it gets worse. A friend of mine didn't know about Hanukkah. Mom and I explained it to her, and she piped up, "When did THIS happen?" Uh, couple thousand years ago, give or take...

Yeah, even when you plan, it seems to take forever, then rush right up at the last minute... and AMEN...

I can do that sometimes, but I watch some shows on the computer and the websites force you to endure, uh, WATCH the commercials. Fortune has it that I can surf, with the sound down...

I guess I don't have to worry about K Mart one way or the other, the closest one is about an hour or more away...

Happy... Day? :)
