Where the Brontosauri Roam... a-HEM!!!

I was at the hairdressers, and she was talking about her older son, that she was going to make him a "big kid's" Easter basket.  He had just bought a car, and she'd made up a safety bag for him, with jumper cables, flashlight, that sort of thing.

But, she wanted it to be fun, too, so she was telling me she put in candy, and chips.

I was thinking this was just cool, and we chatted about what Easter candy we like.

Then she pipes up, oh, and he loves vinyl records, with old music.  So I managed to find him an album of some old stuff he loves.  The Cars, have you heard of them?

Um. Cough, yeah.

I keep forgetting the age difference.  Old music?  I guess my high school tunes are now "Classic Rock".

Excuse me while I find a tar pit.  Maybe I will be lucky, and a comet will hit me before then...

Funny, classic rock, hee hee. Wonder what that makes my old music? Yep, I remember The Cars, but can't for the life of me remember what they did.

I'm also at that age where I'm starting to feel like a dinosaur.

The Cars? They're new age. Elvis and the Beatles now ...

You know it's bad when you recognize the elevator music.

Oddly enough, a song called "Cars", "Drive", "Just What I Needed", "My Best Friend's Girl", and some others. Not my favorite group, but I liked some of their songs. I guess, when I think of old music, I think of WW2 era songs, for some reason, Andrew Sisters, Major Bowes, that sort of thing... ? But then, one of my friends (a professor), things much of anything after 1780 is newfangled claptrap, so I guess we each have our idea of old.
