Shhh. It's working... !

Don't see any pigs flying, but it's about 7 p.m. here.  And I am blogging.  And Husband is watching a video ON HIS PHONE!

We have not clue one why.  This would be the time when our respective phones would make an okay call, if we were in certain areas of the house. But otherwise, holding a wobbly table leg would be a good use, normally, for the phone.  We are happy as all get out!  :)

So, to catch up, again.  The silly hen set twice, then just left the eggs, so no more Mama hen setting for her!

I am trying to get back to exercise...  It's very easy for me to sit and knit all day. Not good, but easy. Now that I have most of the craft room cleaned out, I have space to exercise.  Gave numerous patterns to some friends, and working on the baby yarn going bye-bye.  Frogged (unwound) several projects, with a few more to be determined...   Trying to keep the knitting to 2 big projects, one, a Hap shawl for me.  I have dubbed it the Psychedelic Hap.  It looks so far like it came screaming out of the late 60's, early 70's, but I like it, so, Meh.

I am also knitting the first of three couch seat covers I promised to make him. (He really would like blue seat covers, rather than the mixed set we have. Most likely, the new ones will cover the old ones, for more cush.)

And for fun, I have "cop socks" one in red, one in blue.  When and if the bead shops open again, (hope, hope, hope), I will get some Sheriff star charms to put on them.

I have tomatoes, watermelon, crookneck, and a few other things ready to plant.  It's supposed to stop raining, and perhaps even up to mid 80's by next week, so I want them in the ground, along with some corn and beans, and maybe a few other goodies.

Along with the keeping house clean, shopping for my parents... That has been a surprise.  Husband was willing to shop with me. We set up a"battle plan" where he does our shopping, I do my parents shopping, and so far, we've been able to keep up.  Mom and Dad are in the bullseye for the virus, and bless them, haven't gone out, except for one or two drives to our house, or when I took Mom on a drive to one of our local areas so she could get out for a bit.

I tried making masks, will maybe try again later, but Mom made me some , those actually work, so I am reasonably covered when I go out. Oddly, it works out well to protect my face from Rosecea, too.  Maybe not the way the Doctor intended, but it is a barrier from the wind, too! Still want to make a kitty face mask.  Husband implied it should be Chesire Cat.  Hmmm...  ; D

We are still locked down in Maryland in our county - some rural counties have opened a bit but our county has not. I am ok with that! Our numbers are still too high so I am happy to stay out of circulation. Not interested in adding my body to the Covid count.

A Cheshire cat grin mask would be cool! Thanks for the update, stay safe and be in touch when you can.

Retired Knitter: We are on a "phase 1". Because of my parents, Husband and I still have no great desire to go out and do... Figure it will keep both them, and us, safer. Just groceries, as needed.

Messymimi: I have a bit of a prototype knit up, and will see if I can make up one! And, if the signal holds, perhaps I can read and write more often!
