He wasn't joking.
As I eased around the (VERY SHARP) knife, I asked what he was doing, as he was on his feet, headed out the door. Turns out, there was a nail coming out of the floor, and he was going to go get his tools to repair the problem, but didn't want to lose track of where the offending nail had gone.
Oh. So I sat back down, pondered that it really didn't bother me that there was a knife stuck in my floor, or if I was just crazy.
I would prefer you didn't answer that question... :)
In other news, at 11am my time, the Iditarod starts. On the knitting website Ravelry, a group has set up the Iknitarod, the goal being to finish a UFO, or complete a project from cast on to bind off in the time it takes to run the course (to the 'red lantern', in other words). I decided that I would knit a pair of socks. I can knit ONE in the time the Iditarod takes, I decided to see if I can finish two.
(For any yarn folk, it is Paton's Kroy, and a mutt wool skein adopted from a local yarn shelter, aka thrift store.) It's 10.15am as I write this, and as usual, I really would like to start, but no. So, I will go find some other thing I need to do, see if that will take my mind off of jumping the gun, so to speak...
MUSH, Already!!
How industrious of you.
ReplyDeleteHave to do something, I guess... :)

That knife looks a little disturbing. Good luck with the knitting!
ReplyDeleteWell, it was strange to have a blade stuck more or less in the center of the walkway! And thank you!

Unusual way of marking a problem...
ReplyDeleteTrust me, around here, unusual... is pretty normal, really...

Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteMush! Happy Iknitarod!
ReplyDeleteAnd your husband is a smart guy, with that knife trick.
Thank you! And yes, he has some neat stuff. This was more on the ? side, but it worked!

The knife marker in the floor makes total sense to me.
ReplyDeleteThat probably doesn't help anyone. LOL!!!
It made sense to me, in that we'd lost it each time, after he'd taken out the tools, so a marker was the easiest way to keep track. I just didn't expect it to be a sharp object!
