Randomly 10.

Linky bits below...

1. My washer has been making squeaky noises. But it hasn't gone out, or been leaking, so I am most thankful for that.

2. I have started strength training, in addition to my regular walking and biking. I have found several muscles that I didn't know existed! BUT- I am finding that I am loosening up, and hopefully I will get stronger.

3. I found some terrarium bowls, and made some decorative pieces for my living room and dining table. I like hen and chicks, and the "babies" fit perfectly in the small containers. Plus, I had random rocks, and beads. Shades of the 70's!

4. I have been keeping a journal steadily this year. I bought a business oriented diary, which works for what I wanted it for. Mostly so I don't have a huge amount of space, and then go on to write for several pages. Well, there was a reminder to order a new one in my journal. Hmm. I looked, and could find (eventually), the same one, I wondered if I had anything in my stash 'o stuff. I dug through my desk, and:

I found not one, but *3* to use. One even specifically said Journal on it. So, I am thankful I don't have to get a new one! And they don't have huge pages, so I won't be leaving novels each day.

5. I have had pretty fair luck with my garden, the green cucumber didn't make it, but I have lemon cucumbers, so it's not too big of disaster. I need to check how the pears and apples are doing, but they look promising. For the deer problems, the tomatoes are starting to give me enough to keep busy!

6. There is a bunny in my garden. I am thankful that it seems to be more interested in dandelions than tomatoes or beans!

7. A friend of ours finally has a contractor for his patio. We will be getting boards soon, so I'll be getting more raised bedlets soon!

8. We have 2 squirrels out in the yard, and Ding Kitty loves to watch them. They also seem to have no particular interest in my garden. (Whew!)

9. The weather, which has been very warm , hot for those of us here, and waaaay humid, is finally going to cool back down to 70's. And rain. I will be much thankful for both.

10. Mom just had her birthday. I am happy she's still around, some of my friends aren't so lucky.

So, please enjoy your week, take care, and have a good one!!

Good work on the exercise! Yes, you will get stronger. Scientists proved it by going into a nursing home and getting men in their 90s to agree to some strength training (very gentle and light, but hard enough for them). They got stronger, some of them who'd been in wheelchairs were able to get back up to a walker again! Any age can get stronger, we just have to keep it up.

I very much enjoyed your list and I wish your mother many happy returns of the day.

I like your No. 3 Terrariums - as a teenager, I made them in old-fashioned sweet jars - sealed - I made the mistake of putting P Pennyworts in them - they were rampant...

identified with Grat #2 (sorta)... try to exercise everyday but, (and one of the things I do to offset the innate boredom of exercise) try to become aware of each muscle 'group'. Of late, my focus has been on legs, specifically ankles and feet. Both for flexibility and strength,
Not having a garden this year, the rabbits and deers have not been overly present...though we have an apple tree which usually attreacts the deer. Big year for chipmunks, though.
have a good week

Glad that your washing machine is still working; it's pricey to get those fixed nowadays. Have a good week!
