I have just a cold, I think. But this sucker has me whipped. On the bright side, I actually called and cancelled some of my volunteer work, rather than trying to tough it out. I have done the 'suck it up and go', to no one's benefit.
Guess that's a side benefit of the backbone transplant, maybe?
As you can see by the title, I am not ready to run any foot races. In fact, I haven't walked... since... Uh. Saturday? I have coughed and sneezed, and taken in enough liquid to irrigate a small garden. But I haven't walked. Other loverly femaley things, too. So, when I weighed in today, I wasn't expecting much. I gained .8, but you know what, I don't care. It's not what I want, but I am going to just let it ride, and work on getting better right now. Husband hasn't gotten sick yet, or Mom when she was by, though both have been around me during this nonsense. I have washed my hands until they are chapped, and cleaned every thing that I touch, so hopefully no one else will get it.
I have watched TV, (well, mostly on the computer, but...), and I have knit. I have sat for so long, that I finished the second little kid's sock, and one adult sock, working on the second one.
Rudee keeps looking so confused that we aren't out walking. Bless him, Husband has taken out Rudee for play time, since I just don't have it in me. I get what I have to taken care of, then sit and sneeze, cough, or just flat out pant for a while. It's so fun being me, at the moment, she says with heavy, heavy sarcasm. Ick.
I guess the annoying thing is that I am getting healthier, and so I am not getting sick as often. But when I do, whoa, Nelly, I get it BAD. So, I eat the chicken soup, drink liquids, and try not to dribble on anything.
I haven't even been looking on blogs or anything of late, so I will have a lot of catching up with my blog friends when I am feeling better. Please forgive my absence, I would have just sneezed on your blog anyway...
Will return to the land of the non-sneezy soon. I hope...
