Wee thankfuls. Or big...

1. The knee, while not great... Is improving.

2. My neighbor offered to bake cookies for me, so I wouldn't mess up my knee more. (She doesn't know about my secret weapon, a tall chair with a back, so I can sit or use it as something to rest my foot on.)

3. Which, I can be thankful for that chair. Dinner is a lot easier when I am not working around pain.

4. I am thankful for Husband helping me get a 40 pound box of apples, and the clerk that was nice enough to put them in the cart so I didn't have to. Husband then put them in the car, and later in the house.*

5. I am thankful for my apple peeler, I have worn out at least one blade on it, fortunately, I was able to find a company that makes replacements.*

6. I am thankful for a recipe I discovered that used the crockpot to make applesauce. Since I make gallons of the stuff this time of year, I appreciate not having to stand and stir the stuff all day.*

7. And, of course, that makes me thankful for my crockpot, allowing me to slow cook lots of things!

8. I am thankful I have all but one gift ready to go, and if I get with it, it can be delivered by grey van...

9. I am thankful for my socks, and my hand warmers. It's been cold off and on, and I'm able to keep my extremities from getting stove up...

10. I am thankful for my early Christmas present from Husband, I now have my favorite tea, in bulk. Yum!!

Please take care, have a fun and restful holiday, if you do that, if you don't, please have a good Wednesday!

* I make it in bulk. Dad loves applesauce, so it's a birthday present.

What joy! Home made applesauce sounds delightful, as do cookies. Have you ever kept cooking some of the applesauce until it becomes apple butter?

Now you have me thinking, "'How long has it been since you had applesauce. Used to love the stuff.
Have a good set of holidays
