1. After a few dietary changes, I was able to get my iron up. So I donated again!
2. Managed to get my first raised bed covered and mulched. Yay! Get it rained in and settled.
3. Found 3 very, VERY old ears of corn, that I was going to use for seed. Well, I decided they probably won't do much, and I have much better quality corn seed, so my chickens had a treat. One was eating it like she was a typewriter. Pick, eat, move over, pick, eat...
4. Am knitting up "blue stockings"* again, the owner of my fav Little Yarn Shop had some yarn in a gorgeous hand dyed medium blue. I, for some reason, thought of waterfalls, so I am playing with a pattern to hopefully get that imagery. (Pics when finished.)
5. I put Husband in check for the first time. Okay, it was a stupid play, and I lost a bishop, but darn it, I did manage to get it!
6. I picked up some seed saving packages. I am taking a class on gardening, and last time, I planted the seeds, which gave me lanky, leggy plants, some which didn't make it, once outside of the greenhouse. This time, I hope to take the seed, and plant it directly in the beds, so it will be tougher. Hopefully.
7. I have been able to walk (mostly) pain free, off and on, and I haven't needed my walking stick to go out to the chicken house. Believe me, that's a GOOD thing! Between land mines and trying not to put the stick on a chicken while walking, became a very annoying game.
8. Been busy, but managed to get a letter out to a 90+ year old friend of mine.
9. Husband and I have been trying to double up on runs to town. I do PT, he'll go do shopping. He needs to get something from a friend, I will get things for Mom and Dad. It also gives us time to chat, and occasionally just take a short drive, if we have a break between places.
10. The cows are up close in the field, and there are several calves. Watching meal time is fun!
Enjoy, good week to you, and have a great one!
