1. We had a good get together with parents for Thanksgiving. Made it earlier in the day, so they wouldn't have to drive in the dark. Dad and Husband are going to do some ham radio stuff together. I might join them later, but wanted them to have some fun first. Mom and I chatted, and because I actually cleaned as I cooked, no big mess to clean! (She can be taught!!)
2. I was able to stitch together my poinsettia blanket. It is distorted slightly, but not as bad as I thought. I am putting a border around it, and it will be ready for display, if nothing else. I will probably wait on the pillow, however.
3. I thought my neighbor was going to be alone on Thanksgiving, so I invited her to ours. Turns out, she went to help a friend that had a heart problem, and the friend couldn't get around. So she was doing well! :)
4. I took a tag off of a Giving Tree. The gal was right up my alley, she wanted yarn, a blanket, and a vest. Had a great time filling that... Except for the vest. No size was given. So, I bought a gift card, and I am going to put a note in from "Santa" saying Mrs. Claus suggested it. ;)
5. With the roofers finished, we are getting our normally scheduled wildlife back. The deer and turkeys are going by regularly, and a gray squirrel is back in the oak tree in the front yard.
6. Was digging through my music stuff, tapes, CDs, to find my Christmas music. (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, anyone?) I found all of it, I believe, and some videos. Mom gave me The Cinnamon Bear story on CD. Still looking for one movie, not an earth shattering problem if I can't find it, but I am curious what I did with it. But, have my favorites, can watch and listen to them at random times while crafting, so, YAY! (And, after Christmas, I am putting them all with the Christmas stuff, so I can hopefully FIND them next year, without a major hunt!)
7. While in the dig for Christmas stuff, I found a Simon and Garfunkel CD set I'd forgotten about. Husband and I both like their music, so I will give it a listen, then see if Husband wants to borrow it for the shop.
8. I washed my ceramic tree. I haven't moved it, as I had it on a high shelf I don't pay attention to, and it was all dust. You could not tell it was green! But a good scrub and rinse, and washed all the "ornaments", plastic glow stick things, and it's darn near good as new.
9. We knew Ding Kitty had been with us for a while, but Husband found the Craigslist ad he'd screenshotted. She was about 8 months old, and, we figured, she is now about 11. She is going strong! Fits right in, and I hope she stays happy and healthy for a lot longer!
10. Okay, leftovers. I am thankful for leftovers! There, I said it. ;)
