Sunday Supplement, Late Edition.

Ok, just back from a dinner, and when we returned, I had this.  (ONE slice, small, and the rest is in the freezer.  Now if I can just stay out of the freezer.  Or walk a whoooole bunch more...)

And the roses were given me on my birthday. They were from a rose bush from my Grandpa to my Mom.

(I had a rosebush from him, too, but a deer ATE IT. &%$#!!!!!)

Anyway, I received the Orchid today. Now comes the Darwin part. So, anyone wanna take bets on how long it takes me to figure out how to care for it?

Hope all of you are doing well, I will be getting the finish of my Petty-ness soon.

Then I can go on to Virginia Loans, jumping cats, and decisions on socks, afghans, and possibly quilt blocks...

Thrill a minute, huh?

:)

  1. Delicious looking cake! MMmmmm!

Beautiful flowers - I have absolutely no clue how to care for an orchid. My expertise seems to be killing, not nurturing, plants, sorry.

  2. I take it it's your birthday? Happy Birthday!

I can relate to the title of this blog for sure, except that in my case it's yarn on my crochet hook.

No fear, I know from killing plants, that's why I have the nickname, the Darwinian Gardener from my local nursery, if it doesn't die, I plant more.

Welcome back, and I have been off and on the blog myself, so I know the idea of a "blog break".
