Seaside.

Another trip to Seaside.  With another trip to Camp 18.  It has some really nice chainsaw carvings...

Only you...
(The shovel is real, I don't know how many tourists have tapped to check, however...)

I thought this was a really nice carving, lots of detail.

Peek a boo!

Bigfoot wants lunch, too.
(Didn't come out in the photo, but he has red eyes...)

"Ocian in view! O! The Joy!"

A coastal day, with seagull.
(Never rained during the day...)

This was somewhat disconcerting to read from a distance!

This year I went with a hat, rather than socks...
I think he wanted a red one.

Will do some more blogging later, but thought I would catch you up on this much, at least...

  1. I always love rubbing that dogs's bronze nose for good luck when I'm in Seaside.

    1. Yes, and I don't think we are the only ones, his nose is becoming MUCH lighter than the rest of him...

    1. There were several more, but I didn't take pictures of all of them, they are sure fun to look at, tho!

  3. Love your pictures. Those chainsaw carvings are amazing. I have watched a number of these carvers and I keep expecting them to lose a body part but seemingly they know what they are doing.

Funny picture with the hat...how do you know he wanted a red one???

    1. I agree, I don't see how the carvers stay in one piece... And, well, he looked so forlorn, I figured he must not like the color! ;)

  4. A trip to the ocean would not be a bad idea as temperatures rise here in the desert mountains. Lots of nice stuff to look at there. Is that here in California?

    1. Little up from CA. It's almost up to the Washington state border. But if you ever get the chance, it is a fun place to visit, they get tourists from every corner of the world.

  5. It looks like you had fun! Diatoms are good -- they can get rid of pests like insects.

    1. Yes, but when all you can read on the sign is "What's that brown stuff on the beach?" and can't see the rest, it's more than a little disconcerting!!!
