Didn't get a blog up, as I was on the go yesterday. Mom had her first "check up" since breaking her hip. Over to the ortho to check. Then run back to a different hospital, about an hour away, for a different test. (The first hospital could do it, but we would have had to wait 4 hours.) Then Mom had quite a bit of time on the phone, trying to find out if she would need to go to a hospital again for a procedure... Thankfully, she didn't have to. And in there somewhere was lunch, and picking up a prescription...
I love living in the country. The minor downside is that a lot of things are not close when there is a repeated urgent need for it. I have no interest in moving, nor do I think does my family, but it's just one of the "costs", vs. the benefits of where we are.
And, Mom got a proverbial gold star on her check up. Keep it up, and who knows, maybe she'll be entering the Boston Marathon next year! ;)
Oh, in case, anyone noticed the numbers on the blog title, I am doing that for myself, just to see how many blogs I put up this year.
Like in the movies, nothing to see there, move along...
Oh, and in my own health news, I have have been making some changes. I have been exercising 5-6 days a week, and tweaking my diet. When I went to the doctor for my physical, he said I lost ten pounds over the year. This is lovely news to me, as I have been GAINING that much before. So, now that the Christmas candy and such are out, back to my regular doings. I figure December was crazy, I am going to forgive myself for not being a saint, food wise...

That is wonderful news that you lost weight when the norm for most at this age is to gain weight! Keep up the good work.
Yes, I am pleased. Now out of Christmas, cookies and such gone, work on the next ten... Or more? :)

Congrats to both you and your Mom! Yes, transit times when living in the country do start to add up. But, at least there's generally less traffic on those roads! Which, given weather lately, is both a good and bad thing.
Keep it up! You're doing great!!
It sounds like the health news on both of you is going in a positive direction, which is very, very good.
Yes, but continual travel can get a bit tiring, especially when it's on a tight schedule... And thank you!

Absolutely! I'm very pleased, on both counts! :)
