6. Really?

I am a sucker for old movies.  They had Robin Hood with Errol Flynn playing at the Senior Center.  I decided to (Very well masked, socially distance amundo), treat myself.

Most of the movies I see there, I have worn ear plugs.  Don't know why, but the sound is ear splitting. (Both talk AND music are teeth rattling loud.) And they have text on the screen.  Works out, generally, I don't miss much.

Well, I didn't miss a great lot, but it was more because I knew the general storyline than anything else.

For some reason, a couple came in and their phone started ringing. Nokia music just clashes with The King's Brass announcement.  Then little beeps and clicks.

???

They kept looking around like someone else was causing it.  Finally, one of them went out of the room, and when they returned, the noise abated, after a short NOT sotto voce conversation about the phone. And this was the first 15 or so minutes of the show!

FINALLY, they settled down, and after that it was quiet.  Which was an excellent thing, because I could barely hear the sound, sitting near the speaker!  And, no text. So, even though I don't *think* I'm hard of hearing, it was a challenge to catch all the nuance and patter.

But, it was a nice change, and I can see why Errol Flynn was the heartthrob of his day!

Some people just can't see themselves in their own behavior. Glad you could still mostly enjoy the movie.

Yes, just over the top strange, they didn't seem to register that it was THEIR phone! Odd...
