Not the best pic, but showing the area that was burned on some of the trees in a major fire by Camp Sherman, near Sisters, Oregon.
The very COLD looking Metolius river.
It was warm enough that this was steam, coming from the snow, onto the road.
Someone sneaking through the snow at a restaurant!
Just thought this was a nice shot. Late morning.
Catching the sun this time of year here is very unusual.
Couldn't tell what that stripe is on the left in the sky. I think a con trail? It's near Mt. Washington, anyway.
Some new growth in the burn area. Natural, too, no replanting.Different, closer view.
Poor baby trees were nearly buried by snowplow work. And this isn't even all that deep for this area.
A lot of the view during the drive. I told Husband I wanted to go Snow Hunting. Nailed it!
This, boys and girls, is when you have to decide how badly you really need to go!
It was a fun trip, we had lunch at a restaurant we like. The food hadn't changed, but it's now a sports bar. And the Ravens/Chiefs game had just started. WOW does that get noisy!
Except for the one guy glaring at the TV, muttering, I wanted the Broncos...
