Watching, washing, and waiting.

Started today by getting laundry going, power stayed on, and I had a couple loads I needed to clean.  Then, I exercised, and for the first time since my surgery, I was able to exercise for 30 minutes! Yay, me! 

I knitted a preemie hat, and decided two samples were enough, until I talk to the gal who is going to be getting them where they are going. No sense making dozens of hats, and no takers.  

I am waiting to get a pattern for the shawl project, but I decided to do some other items for a bit. One is a sunburst granny square. It looks like a sunflower, but I am going hippie dippy on it, I am using scrap yarn I have, so every flower will be different.  I will most likely border them all in white, which is what I have a lot of, but it will also set them out nicely. 

I am sort of doing it production style, the centers, then the first leaves, the second, then the square.  Part of it is so I can combine yarn colors, and make it so I don't end up with say, 35 red color flowers and 4 of other colors.  Part of it is so I can just 'memorize' the pattern section, and not have to repeatedly check it.  

I will try and get the hat pictures on here tomorrow.  But, I have a picture Husband took. Ding has been trying to get at the birds through the window. Several have figured out she can't get to them, and mostly ignore her now.  She still tries, however!

The bird had just flown off...
