Last night was not so good. I was a bit on the warm side, so not sleeping as well as I could.
Then the lightning started. The room lit up like noon, then black.
Then, noon.
Black.
No thunder, so I looked out the window, it was over the hills to the east of us, but not far enough to hide the light. Dry lightning from the looks of it. Not happy about that.
I dragged my tired tush out of bed and did get my tomatoes espaliered up. They were starting to splay out all over. There are lots of flowers, so I am hoping for some nice tomatoes soon.
Hilariously, I was walking to toss some branches in the compost, and a gold bug ran right into my belly. I stopped, it stopped. I realized this gold bug was a bumblebee that was so covered in pollen, it must not have been able to see well. Finally, it slowly wiped its eyes, realized I was probably not going to be something it could go through, and buzzed away, still distinctly brilliant.
And now I am in the house writing my blogzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......
:)
Have a good one!

There's nothing like a storm to keep you up, is there.
As for the bee, I wonder how it told the story when it got back to the hive, "I ran into this tree..."
