Springing into thanks

 Linky bits.

1. Saw my first butterfly of the year/spring. Busy little thing, flitted away before I could get a picture!

2. My I don't know what it is tree is blooming.

It has lovely buds all over it right now!

3. My forsythia bush is almost finished blooming, but it and the above bush are feeding bees. I counted at least 3 or four different types of bees when I was out in the garden.

4. I am slow, but I was able to get most of the raised beds ready, toppling dried corn stalks, tearing down dead tomato vines. Using a grubbing hoe to knock down grass. Get a cover of paper on it, then mulch, and I'll be good to go!

5. The weather can't figure out what it wants to do, but that means some nice days that we can have the doors open.

6. Which means that when Husband got the idea to mow, the house smelled of fresh grass.

7. And is the grass growing!! It has greened up, and become the heavy carpet this area is known for. (With the resultant lawnmower sounds on good days...)

8. The chickens are getting out and getting sunshine. Seems to rev them up a bit. Saw one of the girls chasing a bug, she ended up almost half way across the field!

9. The rain is not great in some parts of Oregon right now, bad flooding in some spots, but it's alright here. And it's creating more snow in the mountains, so that is a BIG thankful.

10. And I am thankful for various friends, some I don't see often, but have been able to keep up with via phone and text. Even if I can't meet up with them as much as I would like, it's nice to know they are there.

Good week to you, Enjoy, and be happy!

I'm glad you have blooms and gardens and grass where you are.

Spring is so welcome! My forsythia is blooming here in Utah, too.
