Thanks again!

Linky bits

1. It wasn't measles!

Mom had spilled some raspberry jello on the floor when she was putting it in the refrigerator. She cleaned up, didn't think anything more about it. She later went into the bathroom, and saw red spots all over her legs.

She panicked, thinking about all the news on measles. Then...

She realized she didn't have the spots on her trunk. She wasn't itchy. No sore throat.  Then she remembered the Jello spatter.

Whew!

2. In other random thankfuls... I am thankful for popcorn. Just a nice munch, crunch, and relatively good for me.

3. I am thankful for having knit enough, I am redesigning a pattern. I like the pattern, but it's bulky, and I want to make it in a different yarn weight. And... I can!  :)

4. I received a letter from my friend yesterday. Considering she's 90+, I am always happy to see her letter in the mail.

5. I have been saving plastic apple bags. I didn't have a use for them right off, but found they are excellent for getting small projects together. I can see at a glance if I have all the items and tools I need. Plus, it's not going to a landfill.

6. Husband is going to help me build a privacy/sound deadening fence. We have a bunch of garage panels someone gave us, and with some uprights, and paint, it should look pretty good. (After I get rid of lots of blackberries and raccoon poop... Ew.)

7. I will be having my last Physical therapy appointment next week. He is pleased with how I have improved, I am walking a lot better... If I keep up with it, I should be able to keep the annoying stuff to a dull roar.

8. STILL haven't won a game of chess yet, but Teacher Husband says I am improving. I found a website, chess.com, and I have learned some from that, too. And UNlearned some of what I learned from nasty grade school kids.

9. Longer days, means closer to garden weather! Even if we still have frost warnings... Sigh.

This is getting to be my attitude.
Itchy green thumb, I guess.

10. I am happy to have lots of seeds this year for planting a pollinator garden. And, I went to a garden club meeting, and another packet of flower seeds was in the guest info! Yay!

Be well, enjoy your week, and have fun!

No measles is a huge relief.

Hooray for gardening and being able to change your knitting pattern!
