This is a note to my blog friends, reminding me that I don't have to do ten.
You are absolutely right!
I just enjoy putting 10 down. Reminds me how blessed I am, and generally helps me feel better. So if I say something about trying to get to ten, it's a brain box problem, not a requirement problem. But I thank all of you for reading and commenting, even though I haven't been able to reply. (Still working on that...)
Now then.
1. It was cool enough I made soup. Tomatoes from my garden, zukes, UFO plant* (quite tasty, I might add), all from my garden. I had bits and bobs of veggies in the fridge, threw in some beans, and made up a pretty nice meal. Actually more than one, Husband tolerated it, but it's not his thing. So, I had about 2 more meals out of it. Yum!
2. It rained! We haven't had rain for a long time, and it made the plants look dusty and withered. The rain washed everything, and helped the plants perk up a bit.
3. Husband has caught some bug and water damage on a couple spots on the house, and is able to repair it. Good to find nasties when they are smaller!
4. Glad to know family is safe from fire, several places I've seen on the news, they are in the area, but not close. Now if the fires would go out!
5. I have had no turkeys in the garden, so things look pretty good. Mom has enjoyed a few early tomatoes, said they are coming along nicely.
6. I have been looking for a pirate hat. Hadn't found any thing that I liked. Finally I decided to type in "knitted Pirate hat". And the Google delivered the website 'Knit like a pirate'. I hope to make up a proper hat when Husband and I go boating in the future! :D
7. I am thankful for peanut butter, goes well with celery and apples for lunch.
8. I am thankful that the birds are coming back. We had hawks nesting nearby. That was wonderful, they eliminated the mice and voles. That being said, the small birds were not eager to be fast food... But the feeders are getting full again.
9. My arms have tanned, but I have not been sunburned yet! Trying to be careful!!!
10. I have been knitting mostly for myself lately, and I am thankful for the time to relax and make things!
* UFO plant. I had a volunteer, thought it was crookneck. Well...
