Thankfuls. Um.

 Linky bits

I don't know if this will be ten this time. One of my friends died yesterday, and I am still processing it.

1. I am thankful for family. They are there to talk to.

2. Thankful I was able to give my friend a hug and some help, before she died.

3. Thankful for my poor husband, I snapped at him, and rather than snapping back, he gave me time to get my head together again.

4. I'm thankful for a class I just took. Husband and I took it together, and it was nice to chat, compare notes, and I learned about two or three new things that I hope to look up later.

5. I am thankful for the overhead fan. It's nice to have a breeze when I am sitting, so I cool off fairly quickly.

6. I am thankful for chocolate. Just because...

7. I am thankful we live where we have enough water to garden.

8. I am also happy to HAVE a garden.

9. Thankful I am pretty healthy at the moment, and was able to increase the intensity of my exercise a little.

10. Cat treats. Makes Ding happy. And I can put them in a toy, and she really will work at it to get them.

Looks like I made it to 10. Please have an excellent week, and be really, really thankful!

My friend, I am so very, very sorry for your loss. We are not particular about number of thankfuls, even if you'd only said you were thankful for the years you had with the friend it would have been more than enough.

Everyone who knew and loved your friend is in my prayers for comfort at this time.

I love reading your "Thankfuls". I know I have much to be thankful for, and often take so much for granted. I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I've lost three folks with connections to me in the same number of weeks, and it's a struggle - I understand.

(What the other hostinae wrote)...
the thing about the TToT (imo) is that it allows us to share in the lives of people we might never be in a room with. And sharing means the good with the sad and the knowledge of others can offer some comfort, albeit small and abstract.
