1. I have almost filled the freezer with tomatoes and vegetable soup. My squirrel side is quite happy. And with more veggies coming on, I have space in my Mom and Dad's freezer, too.
2. I have had more energy, and have been able to do a lot of projects that needed to be taken care of, but I hadn't wanted to, because I was tired out.
3. Husband helped me out by moving and cleaning in the laundry room, and behind the fridge. Dust bunnies are now an endangered species there. Yay!!
4. Kept thinking about a different way to make snickerdoodles. Normally they are rolled in cinnamon sugar. I tried rolling them in pumpkin spice sugar. And another batch in cocoa. They came out fine... But really, they didn't have THAT much difference than the original. Even the cocoa. But I am thankful my brain is still coming up with ideas for things I do.
5. It's getting close to Tomatofest, when I bring tomatoes in to a community gathering to try different ones. I am thankful I have plenty to take, especially after the deer!
6. I am also thankful that I don't have to water so much. I had so many tomatoes, I was watering quite a bit, even with heavy mulch.
7. I have made soup for myself, and frozen it, so later on, I can have a snack that is good for me. Add a sandwich, or a chunk of cheese, it could even be a meal, in a pinch.
8. I finished a hat for my uncle, and hope to make one or two more. He has cancer, and lost his hair. When knitting is my superpower, I figure I can get a few zipped out.
9. Going to a car show with my dad. We have done car stuff, since I was old enough to hold a trouble light for him. We have repaired cars, I've hauled parts for him from swap meets, and we have compared notes on various rigs we see from time to time. So I am thankful to get a day to go do car stuff with my dad!
10. I was able to take my mom for a belated birthday outing. We had lunch, (and the wait folks sang her happy birthday), then saw a movie we were both looking forward to. Thankful we can do that!
Happy thankfuls, enjoy, and have a great week!
