Running late again, have to figure out what is going on with my internet... But, anyway, onwards!!!
1. Leaves just starting to fall. The oak in the front yard looks like small birds landing.
2. We received a big load of wood chips, from the folks trimming around the power lines. Lots of mulch for my garden! (And that's not counting all the leaves we have falling!)
3. Pumpkin PIE. I am not into pumpkin spice everything, but I do like my pumpkin pie!
4. However, pumpkin pie spice jokes crack me up. For example, this one is appropriately seasonal... Pumpkin spice oil
5. Apple pie is also a winner. I have an odd family habit, I like a slice of apple pie, with a slice of cheddar cheese. Yum!
6. Seeing what the new Halloween costumes will be. (Okay, not a horror fan, more kids and "topical" costumes.)
7. Which, of course leads to Halloween candy. I broke down and bought some candy corn. Will probably break down and buy some candy bars. And maybe some carmel. Maybe not. But it's fun to walk through the aisles.
8. Things slowing down. Cooler weather, which means the garden is pretty much finished. Normally I would be contemplating winter crops, not going to worry about it, just cover and call it good.
9. Thinking about holidays. (Christmas, wait your dang turn!) Halloween, Thanksgiving, what seems like a bunch of family birthdays and anniversaries... And, yes, Christmas, later...
10. Curling up with a cup of tea, or cocoa, by a fire, and reading or knitting in the quiet of the house.
