Blog note, and ten thankfuls.

(To messimimi, could not get a response up on your blog, so:

"One of my friends had a husband who washed car parts in the dishwasher, so shoes... Aren't as surprising as they should be. Ahem.

Your story sounds like it should be the introduction to a mystery book... :)

Linky bits

1. Finished a pair of hand warmers for Mom. She had a pair I'd made for her that were wearing a bit, so last week I made a pair of fingerless gloves, this week I made a pair with no finger tips, so she can hang onto a book or whatever. First projects of the year...

2. Received a thank you for a knitted item I made for a friend. Wasn't sure if she'd like it, but she said she was going to wear it to work the next day.  Good sign!

3. Had run out of Ding's treats. Finally, but finally, the store got them in again, so we bought SEVERAL bags. She's a laid back kitty in most ways, but she is extraordinarily picky, food wise. So getting her treats was important to me.

4. Husband is doing some horse trading with a friend of his, and his friend brought over someone else to introduce to Husband. I like that people like him.

5. Was able to get all my laundry finished and put away, so I could wash my blanket I use on the couch. Ding likes to lay on it... And it was starting to get a bit... Fragrant. I washed it up, and put it on my lap. Ding jumped up, then looked SO confused!

6. Even though I seem to have trouble getting comments put on others blogs, I enjoy reading thankfuls from others. Happy to hear good things!

7. Now that I'm finished with Christmas knitting, I might take a break, and see what UFO's* I have, see if I want to finish them, or rip 'n reuse the yarn.

8. Thankful I had some extra funds, I treated myself to some new yarn. I hope to make more socks, and hand warmers. But mostly socks...

9. I am very thankful that I am feeling pretty good, the knee is annoying, but glacially slowly improving. Trying to be careful so I don't end up ill. Ew...

10. Thankful for the tomatoes I put back. It was a messy job blanching and peeling them, but the tomato veggie soup is so wonderful! Summer!!!

* UFO = Un Finished Object.

Happy week, and hope for an excellent new year!

:)

I'm sorry you are having trouble commenting, it seems to happen to everyone once in so often at random with both wordpress and blogger. Heaven only knows why, they probably don't.

I'm glad you are getting better, even if slowly, and enjoying knitting, and that others are enjoying your knitting.

Tomatoes you grew yourself in your winter soups, delightful!
