Happy New Year!

It's a bit before 6 pm, New Year's Eve. Sitting by a fire, the fog is freezing here. (Yuck.)

I have been knitting some half finger gloves for my mom, working on that a bit. I have been contemplating a resolution... I soared past my resolution last year, to read at least 12 books. I stopped counting at 20... Hopefully I will be able to keep up my habit of reading daily again.

But I have not thought of a new one. Not that there isn't things I couldn't improve, but I just don't know which what I want to do. I will try and get one before the end of the first week, though.

I have a personal journal I have been keeping on a calendar. A calendar square makes for very pointed, TINY thoughts, to fit. Not wanting to repeat that over much, I bought a Daytimer (c) note keeper that has an area to jot notes and schedule, to use as a check list. Ta daaa, a nice short spot for journalling, without hand cramps and blindness...

Why not just a notebook? Tried that, and found out I tend to fill the space allotted. If it's a one inch cube, or an 8 x 11 sheet, and the bigger, the more I write. I really just want my journal to be more what happened of a day, and maybe record if I watered my plants, especially cold/hot days, unusual events... So. I wrote my first one today, why they don't start on January 1... Pbbbt. But, I think it'll work.

Tonight, however, I will probably nod off at my normal time, then awaken to firecrackers, gunshots, and general noise at midnight. I will kiss Husband, if he's awake. Settle Ding, if it bothers her, then go to sleep again.

Thrill packed, that is me!

; )
