Slipped my mind 10.

 Linky bits

I completely spaced that it was 10 thankful last night. So, I am doing now! Glork...

1. After yet another deer attack on my garden, Husband managed to make the fence and gate MUCH taller, so they can't jump over it. I don't see that anything has been destroyed because of them today, but let's say, they consider it a fast food salad buffet. At least as of this morning, they hadn't found a way in.

2. I was finally able to write a letter to the Mom of my friend who died. I like her, too, so I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her.

3. Getting a few tomatoes. Mom has seemed to enjoy being the taste tester...

4. One of our friends was wanting to get firewood for winter. We had finished and filled our woodshed, and had some more we had no room for. We offered it to one neighbor, she'd already received a load to fill her shed. So, the OTHER neighbor got full benefit of the stuff we couldn't use. Plus, Husband and neighbor had a good time, chatting and working together.

5. There is a mama and baby bird, and it's a tickle to watch them. Mom lands, baby follows. Mom gives seed to baby, then tries to eat. Baby proceeds to pull on Mom's wing, or tail, until the next seed. Barely flight worthy, but baby can pack groceries with the best of them!!!

6. I made Husband some cookies. Hadn't done that in a while. I like baking. He seems to like it when I bake, too.

7. I rescued a plant that is a succulent, it was looking rather sad. After a bit of a trim of dead crud, a good soaking, and setting it where it is happier, it is recovering and looking much better!

8. My chickens are doing well, except they are going into molt. The henhouse looks like they exploded feathers everywhere. But, they will grow in new, lovely feathers soon!

9. I have picked, processed, and frozen blackberry juice, to make jelly later. And, I might get more picked... But freezing the juice allows me to do it all at once.

10. Right now I am reading 4 different books, so I am getting my mojo back, and that is nice!

Good day to all, have a terrific week, and take care!

I'd join your mom as taste tester for home grown tomatoes if I lived close enough.

Blackberries, and reading, and no more deer, it's a list worth the wait.

Not bad for a 'last minute' TToT post!
deers (ok and maybe local rabbits) cured us of the ambition to have a vegetable garden
...funny thing, tho, even with a new dog in the house (Mia a Siberian Husky) the rabbits are remarkably self-assured... like we get within maybe ten feet before they deign to hop away.
huh
have a great week (thanks for the reminder in Grat 4) to start the woodstove process, we have the firewood, what is needed now is to gather kindling for the winter.

Great list of thanks. Bugs and snails get to my plants before the bigger creatures do. And I use repellant sprays too.

One year, we spent more money on "chickenwire" to keep rabbits out of the kitchen garden than what the vegetables would've have cost — and the rabbits still got in and ate half the veg.

I thoroughly enjoyed your list. Hope your week is a delight.
