This is day 100 of staying home, except for groceries. Well, and I bought some plants for my garden, so would that be groceries as a bank shot?
I see some that wear masks, some that don't. In this area, I suspect people are a bit complacent, since it's a bit lower than other areas. Among other things...
Since I am trying to stay healthy for myself, obviously, as well as being supply chain for family, taking care to do cleanliness is vital. Heck, I am concerned about Husband or my cats getting something.
I am trying to make a point to reach out to others. I have found a bad habit I have, I can go months, if not longer, without making an effort to talk/write/communicate with others beyond my "bubble". Since I dumped Facebook and Twitter, I have to work a little more on it. This isn't a bad thing, I don't have to wear armor or a flak jacket to have a conversation that way! (YMMV)
Still going to be home for a while, I will go "camping", which consists of pulling out the trailer to the garden, but hey, it's a change. Gives Husband a bit of "Bachelor" time, too! :)
I keep watching the news about the Black Lives Matter movement, and just hoping that all the protesters stay healthy and well, and safe. For me, it's a time to shut up and listen, and learn.
So, here's hoping my blog friends are safe and well, and that there is good things at your end!

Garden plans, and realities...
Planted my garden after much weeding. Even with weed fabric, and a heavy layer of mulch, I had MUCH grass hay to pull. On the bright side, there was some volunteer potatoes, so I am hopeful for multicolored potato salad later, hee hee!
Put in some zucchini and crookneck, and
an acorn squash plant. Also some tomatoes. Oh, and a cucumber plant, and watermelon. The weather had been warm, and wet. After planting them, I came out to find slugs had a buffet on a few things. I covered the watermelon, it seems like that is the worst one to be eaten. But, one tomato I'd just started, and wanted so badly to grow, was mowed down by those little slime monsters. On the bright side, I have several different types, but only had enough seed for one Berkeley Tie Dye, so... Get more later, I guess.
I put in Orca dry bush beans, some Blue Lake green beans, kohlrabi, carrots (yes, I am a glutton for punishment), and some Swiss chard. Flowers, too.
Strawberries lasted through the winter, and are coming up well, so...
I seem to have a bit more time to focus, and a bit less being on the go (which, surprisingly, I am enjoying!), so, I will see if the garden does a bit better with more care and less benign neglect.
Oh, I planted some pumpkin, too, and found 3 or for Oak tree starts. I will move them later, but I think I will just enjoy little trees in my raised beds! Crazy, yes, why do you ask?

Out of the habit...
I note that I have not written for a while. I can do internet now, fairly well! I even had a video "exam" for a briused elbow. (Nothing serious, just have to have an Ace bandage, and baby the darn thing. Pbbbbt.) But being that sitting and typing hasn't been regular, there has been no blogs. I have been doing a bit more here, garden is in (more about that another blog), and knitting, and cleaning, well, some anyway.
So, a catch up on the animals. Outdoor kitty Buzz had a nasty cat decide to rough her up continually, but it went away somewhere, and she has recovered from scratches and bites, and finally is looking fit, and not scared of her shadow.
Much.
Indoor kitty Ding is enjoying her new "kitty channel", where we put up hummingbird and songbird feeders out front of our living room window. We enjoy watching the birds, and figuring out what has flown in. (We also get a kick out of the Hummers flying to the OTHER window where my lava lamp is. Bright colors, ooooooh, pretty...) Ding jumps on the sill and wants SO badly to play with the Hummers. The other birds, too, but especially the wee birds. I really suspect she thinks they are toys.
No chicks. Siiiiiiigh. I let Edgar try twice, and Marshmallow even took over once. Then I let Marshmallow try once. They would sit for about a week and a half, then wander off, leaving the eggs cold. So No more chick attempts, they are shooed off the nests, and the eggs are brought in. Poo.
So, I will get back hopefully to more regular blogs. But for now, all seems to be safe and well.
Hope all my blog friends are, too.
